The Marty Stuart Show on RFD-TV Saturdays at 8 p.m. ET.
The Marty Stuart Show is a must-see, old school delight and just one more reason to keep yourself at home and out of trouble on Saturday nights. A featured part of cable network RFD-TV’s Saturday Night Music Row line-up, each episode sees Stuart and his hotshot band, The Fabulous Superlatives, in full-tilt hillbilly strut. Each week's show also treats viewers to Country Music Hall of Fame member (and Stuart's "Mrs.") Connie Smith, reverentially known in country music circles for her influence on generations of singers and as the "Rolls Royce of female country vocalists." Announcer and deadpan sidekick duties are ably handled by recent DJ Hall of Fame inductee and Grand Ol' Opry announcing legend Eddie Stubbs. And if that's not enough to keep you in your seat for 30 minutes, Stuart personally chooses a notable guest from among his many country and roots music superstar friends for some deep dish country soul. Past and future guests include Dolly Parton, Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, Alison Krauss, Keith Urban, Charley Pride, Old Crow Medicine Show, Roger McGuinn, Johnny Rivers, Stonewall Jackson and Lyle Lovett. So, slow down, grab a sweet tea and your sweet thing and get swept into Marty Stuart's honky tonk utopia, where country music both pops and twangs.
